Tea residue press problem situation and solution

What problems should we pay attention to when selecting the press dehydrator? According to our experience listed below:

1. What is the target material for? What are its characteristics?

2. What are the customer's requirements? requirement of moisture content? And drainage requirements? How many impurities does the discharge water contain? Will it block the drain pipe?

3. What are the cleaning requirements of the equipment? Is it convenient for operators to perform cleaning and maintenance? Poor cleanliness will lead to hygiene problems.

4. Is the equipment durable? The press is a heavy load equipment, in the 24-hour production conditions of the beverage factory, if there is a lack of design considerations, coupled with maintenance and lubrication is not in place, it will be like an indefinite time bomb, causing great trouble at any time.

Our customers generally need to deal with the target objects, nothing more than tea, dark plum core, tea mud, coffee mud, etc. Tea and oolong tea, green tea, etc., and our double screw press equipment is dedicated to tea residue with fiber materials, not applicable to tea mud, coffee mud. (Tea mud, coffee mud can be used our stack screw type dehydrator).

In order to avoid the press dehydration, a large number of solid objects with the water from the filter gap, reduce the press efficiency, but also easy to block the drainage pipe, further increase the burden of water treatment equipment, the design of the filter gap selection, is very important, but also test the professional and experience of engineers.

If the filter gap is too small, it is not easy to effluent when pressing, and when the cleaning is not in place, even the press does not effluent at all, nor does it discharge material, and must be shut down thoroughly.

If the filter gap is too large, except effluent when pressing, there are also a large number of tea residue solids in the water, which will precipitate in the sewer well, and often need to be removed by personnel, otherwise it will lead to tube blockage.

As the design gap of the filter screen is too large, the drain produces a large amount of solid tea mud as shown below
 
Because the kernel of the plum is hard and does not have compressibility, our press has no dewatering function for the plum core, and can only play a conveying function, and because there is residual fruit puree outside the plum core, it will be discharged from the filter screen during the conveying process, refer to the following figure:
 
When the double screw press is used as the conveying of Umei core, special attention must be paid to the use of specially strengthened filter screen when the engineer is designing, otherwise due to the incompressibility of the hard umei core, the filter screen will be damaged and collapsed, causing production problems, refer to the following figure:
 
The double screw press is not suitable for the sludge powder, and there will be a large amount of sludge discharged from the filter gap (see the figure below), if the gap is reduced to 100 mesh filter specifications (0.13mm), although the amount of sludge discharged can be effectively reduced, but because the size of the sludge particles is close to the filter gap, the sludge particles are easy to get stuck in the gap, resulting in the filter can not be discharged.
 
Therefore, for sludge and other powder, we recommend the use of spiral dehydrator, it is compared with the filter cloth filter press, with the advantages of closed space, odor does not leak, health conditions are better.
